EuroParliament has supported the Eurocommission offer to declare 2009 Year of creativity and innovations.
When greeting the participants of the Expertise the First Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine – Oleksandr Turchinov noted that the aspects that were placed in the centre of attention are closely related to strengthening competitiveness of Ukraine in the world, and pushing Ukraine to the frontiers of the general progress.

Services
Activity and services of the National Innovative Forum are directed on creation of adequate and equal conditions for participation in innovative activity of legal and physical persons, representatives of small and average business, big companies, creative collectives and separate physical persons – inventors and carriers of ideas in the following directions:
- Creation and support of industrial-technological, innovative and scientific structures (scientific parks, innovative-technological centers, sociotechnopolyses, cities of high technologies, academic cities, business-incubators, innovative-technological and engineering firms, firms which produce competitive products and work in the sphere of transfer of technologies).
- Organization and carrying out of preliminary expert examination, including a complex scientific and technical estimation, classification and qualification of innovative and investment projects, standardization of investment-innovative activity according to the international norms.
- Support of innovative and investment projects, development and realization of a set of actions of pre-investment character, financing of projects, control on their effective realization.
- Development of expert and information systems (creation and support of the expert-research centers, granting of experts' conclusions to manufacturers, investors, insurance services, etc., creation and support of the analytical and statistical centers, information bases and networks).
- Cooperation with international financial organizations, governmental and nongovernmental organizations of the foreign countries concerning attraction of financial resources to economy of Ukraine and realization using them of common innovative and investment projects and programs.
